‘Move freely’ with versatile physiotherapists. Our clinic is lead by an extended scope physiotherapist and we can assure you of truly expert care from diagnosis to discharge. Our company has an excellent reputation both locally with GPS and consultants and also further a field. We work closely with some of the best surgeons throughout the north west of England. Our professional services provide the ideal solution to your problem whether it be an acute sports related injury or an insidious issue, such as an arthritic or age related problem or just feeling in pain, We specialise in getting you back to what you love doing so you can ‘move freely’ once again.
The clinic is led by Mrs Alex Burch MCSP, an extended scope physiotherapist with 30 years experience. Alex started the company from scratch back in 2007 under the name Morecambe Bay Physiotherapy Clinic with the aim of providing expert diagnosis and management of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Her aim was to see people promptly in order to get them back on their feet as soon as possible and back doing what they loved. The practice grew with the help of new physiotherapy and sports therapy associates and admin staff and provided specialised care for adolescent pupils at Sedbergh School providing both the assessment and diagnosis and initial management of injuries together with the sports rehabilitation phase. In 2012 the clinic expanded and opened a new branch in Carnforth which we named Versatile which essentially means ‘to move freely’ . This is now our sole clinic and provides a hub of treatments to get people back on their feet and painfree. These include Pilates and Tai Chi Qigong and yoga in our mirrored studio. Our Pilates classes are taught by APPI trained physiotherapists. We provide a specialised sports massage service which is very popular and Neurocare physiotherapy also use the clinic to provide specialist neurological treatment for people suffering from MS, stroke, dropped foot, Parkinson’s and much more. In essence we provide a holistic approach to getting our patients back to health and fitness. We understand that one profession cannot have expertise in all areas of assessment to rehabilitation and that the needs of our clients differ and requires a more individualised approach.
In addition to our physiotherapy services we stock a small range of equipment and aids to help you help yourself during rehabilitation. These include therabands, spikey balls, Pilates over balls, heat and cold packs, exercise programs and sidas insoles which we fit.
